Quick Overview

Asha Prasad, the only daughter of Rai Bahadur Jagdish Prasad, is on a luxury liner, touring the world, when she meets with Anand, and both of them fall in love with each other. When Asha returns home, she is shocked to find out that her father has been killed in an automobile accident. Then the police notify her that her father's death was not an accident but appears to have been murder. Stunned at this knowledge, Asha is unable to think of anyone who would even think of killing her dad. Then she finds out that her uncle, Daljit, has been molesting one of her friends, Lata, she intervenes, an argument ensues, Daljit takes out a loaded gun, a struggle takes place, and Daljit is killed. Lata and Asha put Daljit's body in a large box, and dump it in a isolated lake in the bush. Then Asha finds out that the Police Inspector assigned to investigate her father's death is none other than Anand, who would like to question Daljit, as he suspects him of killing Jagdish. An overwrought Asha must now maintain her equilibrium at all costs so as not to look guilty in the eyes of the law and Anand. "Pyar se dil bar le...""Ho gaye tere ho gaye, pyar me tere kho gaye...." are the songs worth remembering from this flick.
